Our community is planning to host a Turkey Trot 5K run and walk on Saturday, November 23rd. They are looking for people who would be willing to volunteer to help direct the runners along the correct route so they don't get lost. They are also looking for help with registration. If this is something you'd be interested in helping with, please consider registering in the back and we will get you all of the information.

Christmas is fast approaching and The Journey Church is excited to be offering a free Parent’s Day Out for kids 3-12 (MUST BE POTTY TRAINED!) on December 7th! You can bring your kids to us for a day of Christmas fun and you can head out and knock out your Christmas shopping or just head home and take a nap or go on a date with your spouse! Lunch is provided. Be sure to register so we can know how many kids to expect!

We will be participating in the Remington Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 7th. The parade kicks off at 6 p.m. and loading begins at 5 p.m. in the parking lot here at the school. John Ward always pulls us around on his tractor and trailer. There will be a limit to the number of people who can ride so be sure to register to save your spot. If you plan to walk and hand out information and candy, there's no limit to that part.

Event Description: We are partnering with M. M. Pierce to provide Christmas for some families in our community who could use a little extra help.
How You Can Help: Register yourself for the event, choose a gift or multiple gifts, purchase those gifts and return it to the church. Visit connection tent for assistance.
Things To emember: 1. Do not wrap the gift. 2. Please clearly mark the gift so we know which family and person it is supposed to be for. You can attach your email that you receive from planning center when you signed up to help with that. 3. All gifts should be turned in by Sunday December 3rd in order to give us time to organize them and deliver them to the school. They can be dropped off at the connection tent.

We will have our winter membership class on Thursday, December 12 at 6 p.m. Attending the class gives you all of the necessary information so you can make a fi nal decision on whether or not you'd like to join. The class lasts approximately an hour and once we see how many people register we will be able to determine a location for the meeting. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Kevin or any of our team members. Please be sure to register so we can plan accordingly.

Sunday, December 17, is doubly special! Our kids will join us to share their special Christmas song they have been learning AND it's our Ugly Christmas Sweater service. So, grab the kids, and grab your ugliest Christmas sweater, and maybe even a few friends and family members. There will be prizes for a few different categories for the Christmas Sweaters!

We will be spreading Christmas Cheer by singing loud for all to hear on Wednesday, December 18th. John Ward will be pulling us on his trailer with hay to sit on so dress accordingly and bring a blanket if you'd prefer. We have two time slots (6 and 7 p.m.) for your convenience but we encourage our youth to attend the early time slot because they have their youth Christmas Party that evening at 7 p.m. We will load up in the M. M. Pierce parking lot so be sure to arrive a few minutes early to grab your spot on the trailer. If you have any questions, please see any of our team members.

Join us for our special Christmas Communion Service. It's a great time of the year to invite your family and friends as we celebrate Christmas with a special service that includes a reading for the kids done by our kids pastor, special music, as well as a message that includes multiple speakers and videos. You won't want to miss this service.
