Christmas is fast approaching and The Journey Church is excited to be offering a free Parent’s Day Out on December 2nd! You can bring your kids to us for a day of Christmas fun and you can head out and knock out your Christmas shopping or just head home and take a nap or go on a date with your spouse! Lunch is provided. Be sure to register so we can know how many kids to expect!

Compass Pierce Elementary - Parking Lot
Alternate Calendar Saturday, December 2nd
Clock Arrival for participants - 5:15pm
We will be placing a float in the Remington Christmas parade on Saturday, December 2nd. The parade starts at 6 pm with everyone arriving at M. M. Pierce parking lot at 5:15 to 6 pm. Everyone is welcome to ride the float (John Ward’s Tractor with the trailer behind it). Some of the adults will walk behind the trailer handing out candy and information about the church. People will park in the field at the school.

Alternate Calendar All gifts due December 3rd
We are partnering with M. M. Pierce to provide Christmas for some families in our community who could use a little extra help.
How you can help: Register yourself for the event, choose a gift or multiple gifts, purchase those gifts and return it to the church. Visit connection tent for assistance.
Things to Remember: 1. Do not wrap the gift. 2. Please clearly mark the gift so we know which family and person it is supposed to be for. You can attach your email that you receive from planning center when you signed up to help with that. 3. All gifts should be turned in by Sunday December 3rd in order to give us time to organize them and deliver them to the school. They can be dropped off at the connection tent.

Attending the class doesn’t force you to become a member but it does give you all the information necessary to make a decision. The event begins at 6 p.m. and the location is TBD (it will depend on the number of people who sign up and where they live - Pastor Kevin may do the meeting in his office if everyone is from Culpeper, or he may find a location in Remington if more of the people are from that area.). If you would like more information on the event you can reach out to Pastor Kevin or any of the team.

Our kids will be singing as a part of the worship on Sunday, December 17th. They are practicing between now and that Sunday in Kids Church and you can see Victoria Settle for more information on this.

Clock Arrival for participants - 5:30pm
We will be spreading a little Christmas Cheer on Wednesday, December 20th. John Ward will be driving us around the Remington Community with his tractor and hay wagon as we sing Christmas Carols so dress warm, invite a friend, and come join us for some fun. We plan to leave M. M. Pierce Elementary School parking lot by 6 p.m. You can reach out to John Ward if you have any questions.

To allow our volunteers and staff to spend some extra time with their families during the Christmas and New Year's season, we will be streaming a special recorded service. So, we will not be meeting in person this day. Enjoy the extra time at home with your loved ones!
